Financial Accountant
Location: Melbourne City Fringe / Salary: $110,000 – $130,000 + Super / Reporting to: Financial Controller
About the Role
We are looking for a Financial Accountant to join a fast moving FMCG business based on the city fringe.
This role will suit someone who is technically strong but also understands that finance needs to support how a business actually operates. You will be responsible for core financial reporting while also playing a key role in improving systems and processes.
You will report to the Financial Controller and lead a small team made up of both qualified and non qualified staff, including oversight of an overseas transactional accounting function.
Key Responsibilities
Manage month end and year end close processes
Prepare financial reports and support management reporting
Assist with budgeting and forecasting
Oversee an overseas transactional accounting function, ensuring accuracy and delivery
Ensure taxation reporting obligations are met and compliance requirements are maintained
Identify areas for improvement across systems and processes and implement changes
Support audit requirements and ensure compliance
Partner with internal stakeholders across operations and commercial teams
Lead and mentor a small team, providing structure, support and development
About You
CA or CPA qualified
Experience in a Financial Accountant or similar role
Strong understanding of financial reporting, taxation and compliance requirements
Exposure to SAP or a similar ERP system
Experience working with or overseeing offshore or transactional finance teams is highly regarded
Previous experience in FMCG, retail or manufacturing environments will be viewed favourably
Experience improving processes or systems within a finance function
Comfortable leading and mentoring staff at different levels
Able to communicate clearly with both finance and non finance stakeholders
Practical, organised and able to work in a fast paced environment

Collections Agent - Energy Retail (Inbound Only)
Inner City Melbourne | $65k-$75k + Super | Full Time Mon-Fri | Rotating shifts: 7am-3pm and 3pm-11pm
The Role
We are working with a leading energy retailer based in inner city Melbourne who is looking for experienced Collections Agents to join their high-performing customer operations team. This is an inbound-only collections role - no cold calling. You will be speaking with customers who have outstanding accounts, helping them navigate payment arrangements and find workable solutions.
This is a role where empathy meets commercial acumen. You will be speaking with people in genuine financial hardship and your job is to help them find a way forward while protecting the business’s interests.
What You Will Be Doing
Taking inbound calls from customers with overdue or disputed accounts
Assessing customers’ financial situations and negotiating tailored payment plans
Applying hardship provisions and government concessions where applicable
Updating account notes and managing your own portfolio of accounts
Meeting call quality, compliance, and recovery KPIs
Escalating complex cases to senior staff or hardship specialists
Contributing to a positive team culture and sharing knowledge with peers
What We Are Looking For
Prior experience in collections, debt recovery, or financial hardship (essential)
Energy retail experience is highly regarded but not essential
Strong negotiation and de-escalation skills
Empathy-led communication style - you know when to push and when to listen
Comfortable navigating multiple systems simultaneously
Resilient under pressure - collections can be emotionally demanding
Compliance-aware and thorough with documentation

The Role
This is a rare opportunity to step into a marketing role that genuinely matters. You will be working for a well-regarded not-for-profit organisation based in Melbourne CBD, covering an 8-month maternity leave contract. You will support the marketing function across digital, content, events, and communications — bringing energy, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for making a difference.
What You Will Be Doing
Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels
Create and schedule engaging content for social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook)
Write and edit copy for EDMs, newsletters, website updates, and impact reports
Coordinate and support the delivery of events, fundraisers, and community activations
Maintain and update the organisation’s website with fresh content and news
Track and report on campaign performance using analytics tools
Liaise with designers, photographers, and external suppliers to deliver marketing assets on time
Support donor and stakeholder communications and relationship management
Assist with grant and funding applications from a marketing and communications perspective
Manage marketing administration including asset libraries, content calendars, and reporting templates
What We Are Looking For
2+ years of experience in a marketing, communications, or digital role
Strong written communication skills with an eye for detail and brand consistency
Proficiency with social media platforms and scheduling tools
Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g. Mailchimp, Campaign Monitor, or similar)
Basic graphic design skills using Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Genuine interest in the not-for-profit sector and community impact
A proactive, self-starter attitude — you do not wait to be told what to do next
Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a small team
Experience with CMS platforms (WordPress, Squarespace, or similar)
Tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, or a related field (desirable)
Previous not-for-profit, charity, or social enterprise experience highly regarded
